Organizers for a recent National Walking Day event on campus characterized the turnout as great and have set a goal to start weekly walking groups for employees based upon the high participation.
Open presentations by two candidates for the position of director of financial aid have been scheduled.
The candidates, Bruce Blackmon and Jane Hojan-Clark, will speak on the topic “The Use of Technology in Financial Aid.” Blackmon’s talk is at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 11; Hojan-Clark will speak at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 14. Both sessions will be in Reese Building, Room 524.

The Lee College of Engineering’s Materials Characterization Lab is now in the Cameron Applied Research Center. The Charlotte Venture Challenge (CVC) will showcase 39 finalists selected from more than 100 startup competitors located throughout the Southeastern United States. These contenders will be introduced to investors, corporate executives and the business community at the CVC finals, Thursday, May 1.
