Faculty & Friends Concert to feature saxophonist Will Campbell

The Department of Music’s Nov. 6 Faculty & Friends Concert will feature jazz artists Will Campbell, professor of saxophone, and DePauw University professor and pianist Steve Snyder.

Campbell and Snyder played together in the University of North Texas One O'Clock Lab Band in 1993-94. They both are currently members of the Michael Waldrop Big Band.

Also director of the University’s jazz studies program, Campbell has been a featured performer on various albums, including “New Songs for the 20th Century” and “Don’t Blink.”

Snyder has performed in France, Portugal, Brazil, Sweden, Taiwan and throughout the United States and Canada.

The Nov. 6 concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the Rowe Recital Hall. Tickets are $10; $8 for UNC Charlotte faculty, staff, alumni and all students.
