The University Career Center will hold its annual Mock Interview Day on Friday, Jan. 30, in the Cone University Center, Lucas Room. A popular event, Mock Interview Day brings experienced professionals from the Charlotte business community onto campus to work with students and alumni to improve their interviewing skills.
More than 25 employers, including Duke Energy, Wells Fargo, Kellogg’s, the Charlotte Nature Museum and Messer Construction, will participate in this year’s event.
According to Career Center officials, students and alumni who participate in Mock Interview Day have the unique opportunity to practice interviewing with hiring managers and receive on-the-spot feedback to improve their skills. Participants will gain a better understanding of the preparation needed to have a successful interview, giving them a job-search skill boost in an improving, but still tight, economy.
UNC Charlotte students and alumni from all colleges and majors are encouraged to take advantage of this once-a-year opportunity. Signups for the event will begin on Friday, Jan. 9, through Hire-A-Niner, the Career Center’s job and internship system.
