University Title IX series to continue with panel discussion

As part of “Forty IX’ers: Know Your Title IX” series, the University will host the panel discussion “The SpeficIX: How to Get Help” at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 10, in the Student Union, Room 340ABC.

The “Forty IX’ers: Know Your Title IX” series is sponsored by the UNC Charlotte Title IX Office, Center for Wellness Promotion and the Dean of Students Office, in conjunction with the Feminist Union. Its purpose is to address issues of sexual assault, stalking and relationship violence.

During “The SpecifIX: How to Get Help” representatives from organizations both on- and off-campus will present resources they provide for survivors of sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking through a panel discussion. These organizations will be:

  • Safe Alliance
  • North Carolina Coalition against Sexual Assault
  • Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department
  • Forensic Coordinator of the Carolinas Medical Center
  • Center for Wellness Promotion
  •  University Counseling Center

All programs of the “Forty IX’ers: Know Your Title IX” series are open to students, faculty, staff and the community.
