Reminder on hurricane preparedness

Wednesday, May 28, 2014

NOAA Hurricane Preparedness Week is through May 31, and the University’s Risk Management, Safety and Security Department encourages employees to be ready to respond and recover in the event of a natural disaster.

Hurricane season runs from June 1 through Nov. 30, and hazards from tropical cyclones can come in many forms, including storm surge, heavy raining, inland flooding, high winds, tornadoes and rip currents.

The business continuity planning website has links to more information, including training videos on disaster mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.
