Jodi Turner, associate director in the Office of Multicultural Academic Services, recently was initiated into Phi Kappa Phi at N.C. A &T University, where she is pursuing doctoral studies.

Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all disciplines; graduate students must be in the top 10 percent of their class to be eligible for membership. The society, founded in 1897, has chapters at more than 300 college and university campuses in North America and the Philippines.

Turner also is an affiliate faculty member in the Africana Studies Department, where she teaches the course “Black Aesthetics and the Body.”
