Panel discussion to focus on health informatics careers

Representatives from Quintiles, Cardinal Innovations, Carolinas Healthcare System and more will participate in a panel discussion on opportunities within the health informatics sphere. The goal of this panel discussion, scheduled for 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, in the College of Health and Human Services, Room 128, is to show the breadth of opportunities with the field - from payers to providers, from health technology innovators to contract research organizations and from local/state opportunities to national and international.

Bill Saunders, assistant professor, Department of Public Health Sciences, will moderate this panel, which will feature John Poonnen, director, product engineering, Quintiles Infosario Data Factory; Pete Murphy, chief information officer at Cardinal Innovations; and Eric Christian, vice president and chief technology officer at Carolinas Healthcare System.
