John Connaughton will give his quarterly forecast for the North Carolina economy at a luncheon and press conference Tuesday, March 11, at UNC Charlotte Center City. Connaughton's presentation will begin at noon in the auditorium. Box lunches will be available at 11:30 a.m.
Connaughton, the Babson Capital Professor of Financial Economics in the Belk College of Business, is a highly regarded expert on regional economics; he has closely monitored the state’s economy for more than 30 years. His quarterly report, sponsored by Babson Capital Management, addresses areas of optimism and concern among the state's economic sectors, considers national and global factors affecting the state economy and forecasts future performance and job growth.
The forecast presentation is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and advanced reservations are required. RSVPs are accepted online.
