Plan now for summer school at UNC Charlotte

Friday, February 7, 2014

Spring Break is approaching, which means summer school is fast approaching. More than 9,000 UNC Charlotte students enrolled in at least one course during summer 2013.

For summer school 2014, UNC Charlotte’s academic departments will offer more than 1,100 graduate and undergraduate courses and sections. With options for on-campus, online or hybrid delivery (a combination of the two), there is likely something offered this summer that will meet even the most demanding schedules.

Attending summer school at UNC Charlotte can help shorten students’ time until graduation. Other reasons include:

  • Ability to focus on just one or two subjects instead of a full 12- or 15-hour course load
  • Opportunity to get a seat in the ever-popular LBST courses
  • Prospect to take an elective on a topic that is personal interest

Registration opens Monday, March 24, and classes fill quickly. Students are encouraged to meet with their academic advisor soon to plan out their summer schedule. Remember that there are three sessions of summer courses.

The first five-week session and the 10-week session start on May 19 and the second summer session starts on July 1.

More information on Summer School offerings, including courses for incoming freshman and visiting students, is on the Web.
