‘North Carolina Now’ segment about UNC Charlotte online

UNC Public Television's  “North Carolina Now” recently featured UNC Charlotte on the program. The segment is available online on the “North Carolina Now” website.

In the segment, reporter/producer Rick Sullivan visited UNC Charlotte and interviewed Johan Enslin, director of the Energy Production and Infrastructure Center, and College of Computing and Informatics Dean Yi Deng and Belk College of Business Dean Steve Ott about the University’s big data initiative. He also spoke with Paul Wetenhall about PORTAL and Levine Scholars Celia Karp and Christina Neitzey.

 According to “North Carolina Now” officials, the series about UNC institutions is designed to “improve public awareness and understanding of the academic work and research that takes place at each campus and affiliate organization, and how this work connects back to the local and state economies.”
