The Giving Green spirit lives throughout the year, and to find out more about the Giving Green Community Volunteer Launch, the campus community is invited to a dessert reception at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, in Cone University Center, Room 210.
During the launch, attendees will learn more about the University’s partnership with nearby Governor’s Village Schools: Nathanial Alexander Elementary, Morehead STEM Academy, James Martin Middle and Vance High.
Representatives from the Community Relations Department in the University Advancement Divisions will provide details about this initiative and how faculty, staff and students can stake their claim as volunteers in support of Governor’s Village. Attendees will have the chance to win great prizes as part of a raffle, with better prizes for volunteers who sign up at the launch.
RSVPs are requested by Monday, Jan. 27.
