Wednesday, January 22, 2014

Cheryl Brown, an associate professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, will discuss China’s foreign policy at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, in UNC Charlotte Center City, Room 204, as part of the 2014 Great Decisions Lecture Series.

In her presentation, Brown will explore what China’s rise to power might mean for other countries in the region and whether there are potential points of conflict with the United States.

The Jan. 29 installment of the six-week Great Decisions Lecture Series will be a joint program with the Magellan Society, the young professionals’ arm of the World Affairs Council of Charlotte, one of the community partners for the series along with Charlotte Country Day School.

The Office of International Programs coordinates the annual Great Decisions Lecture Series for the Charlotte community in January and February; the series focuses on pressing foreign policy issues selected by the Foreign Policy Association.
