Smith promoted associate director for OASES

Debbie Smith is now associate director of the Office of Adult Student and Evening Services (OASES).

Smith joined OASES, which is part of enrollment management, in 2008 as assistant director and advisor. OASES personnel support the University’s enrollment and graduation goals by assisting in the recruitment and retention of adult students.

As associate director, Smith will assist in the recruitment and advising of adult students, will help to improve communication practices with prospective and current students and the campus community and will work to refine technology efficiencies. In addition, she will manage data collection and service evaluation and will serve as director of advising.

A graduate of Belmont Abbey College, Smith earned a master’s degree in adult education from N.C. A&T University.
