Project Mosaic reception scheduled for Jan. 15

Wednesday, January 8, 2014

A kick-off reception for faculty interested in the newly established Project Mosaic is scheduled for 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15, in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center, Salons A and B. All UNC Charlotte faculty members are invited.

The University established Project Mosaic to enhance its social and behavioral science research. The Jan. 15 gathering will allow attendees to learn more about the activities that Project Mosaic will spearhead or coordinate and to build connections.

Project leader Jean-Claude Thill, Knight Foundation Distinguished Professor, will offer brief remarks, along with Joan Lorden, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs; Bob Wilhelm, vice chancellor of research and economic development; and Nancy Gutierrez, dean of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.

The divisions of Academic Affairs and Research and Economic Development are funding this University-wide effort, which will be housed in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.

Faculty members are asked to RSVP to ProjectMosaic@uncc.edu.
