Six lectures to comprise 2014 Great Decisions series

The Office of International Programs is organizing the 2014 Great Decisions Lecture Series, which features six talks.

Coordinated nationally by the Foreign Policy Association, the Great Decisions program is designed to highlight relevant foreign policy issues. The series lectures will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesdays, Jan. 15, through Feb. 19, in UNC Charlotte Center City, Room 204. The talks are free and open to the public, but registration is requested.
 

Speakers for the series are:

  • Greg Sizemore from the U.S. Export Assistance Centers for North Carolina, who will discuss U.S. trade policy on Jan. 15
  • Greg Pillar from Queens University who will talk about food and climate on Jan. 22
  • Cheryl Brown from UNC Charlotte’s Political Science and Public Administration Department who will deliver a presentation on China’s foreign policy on Jan. 29
  • James Walsh from UNC Charlotte’s Political Science and Public Administration Department, who will discuss defense technology on Feb. 5
  • James Tabor from UNC Charlotte’s Religious Studies Department, who will talk about Israel and the United States on Feb. 12
  • John Enslin, director of UNC Charlotte’s Energy Production and Infrastructure Center, who will discuss energy independence on Feb. 19
