UNC Charlotte Energy Production and Infrastructure Center (EPIC) Director Johan Enslin is a 2014 Energy Leadership Award honoree. Named by the Charlotte Business Journal, Enslin is one of 11 winners to be recognized for making the Carolinas a global force in the energy industry.

The winners will be honored along with the first lifetime achievement award recipient, Duke Energy’s Jim Rogers, at the fourth annual awards reception, Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Mint Museum Uptown.

Housed in the William States Lee College of Engineering, EPIC was formed in response to the need from industry to supply highly trained engineers qualified to meet the demands of the energy industry – through traditional and continuing education.  EPIC provides sustainable support to the Carolina energy industry by increasing capacity and support for applied research and is a highly collaborative industry/education partner.
