Wednesday, December 4, 2013

Scott Hippensteel, Matthew Eastin and William Garcia, faculty members in the Department of Geography and Earth Sciences, published the lead article in GSA Today; the journal is sent to the Geological Society of America’s 25,000-plus membership.

The article “Paleotempestology and 2011’s Hurricane Irene” examined the “geological legacy of Hurricane Irene, not only in terms of its impact on current coastal conditions but also in what it can tell geoscientists about the past.”
