The Charlotte 49ers Athletic Foundation will host its annual Great Gold Rush Auction Saturday, June 1, in Halton Arena.
This event is the largest single-day fundraiser held by the foundation; proceeds benefit the University’s athletic scholarship fund.
More than 500 attendees are expected to bid on 1,200-plus items during the early evening auction held prior to the marquee live auction. The silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m.; the live auction is anticipated to begin between 8 and 8:30 p.m. Auction items include artwork, electronics, furniture, sports equipment/memorabilia, getaway vacations and other once-in-a-lifetime offerings.
The cost to attend is $100 per person or $1,000 for a table of 10. Pre-registration is required; prospective attendees should call 704-687-4950.
