Honor society spearheading toiletries drive

Thursday, February 7, 2013

The Mu Tau Beta counseling honor society in the College of Education is sponsoring a toiletries drive to benefit the Relatives Crisis Center, which provides a safe location for youth age 7 to 17 who are homeless, who have run away from home or who are going through a difficult family situation. The organization also provided a 24-hour crisis hotline, walk-in crisis support, parenting support, and it serves as a resource center for young adults, age 16 to 24, who are transitioning from foster care/mental health programs.

Items sought include deodorant, body wash, soap, feminine hygiene products, tooth paste, dental floss (travel size), combs/brushes, hand sanitizer and toilet paper. Two Mu Tau Beta collection boxes are located in the College of Education (first floor near the elevators and in the Counseling Department).
