Author, economist Philip Auerswald to speak

Economist Philip Auerswald will discuss themes from his new work “The Coming Prosperity: How Entrepreneurs Are Transforming the Global Economy” at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 24, in the Atkins Library, Halton Reading Room.

Auerswald is associate professor in the School of Public Policy at George Mason University and a senior fellow at the Kauffman Foundation. He co-founded and co-edits Innovations, a quarterly journal from MIT Press about entrepreneurial solutions to global challenges. He also is an associate at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University and a former lecturer and assistant director at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.

Auerswald’s Jan. 24 presentation is part of the International Speaker Series, sponsored by the Office of International Programs, Atkins Library, the Department of Global, International, and Area Studies, and the World Affairs Council of Charlotte. The presentation is free and open to the campus community.
