Award-winning journalists to discuss not-for-profit hospitals

Charlotte Observer reporters Karen Garloch and Ames Alexander will lead the interactive discussion “Investigating North Carolina’s ‘Not-for-Profit’ Hospitals” from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, in the College of Health and Human Services, Room 161.

As a medical writer, Garloch has covered topics related to hospitals and health care since 1987. Alexander is an award-winning investigative reporter with more than 50 national and state awards to his credit.

The event is being hosted by the UNC Charlotte College of Health and Human Services Master of Health Administration Program, Department of Public Health Sciences. It is free and open to the public.
