Children’s Theatre of Charlotte’s (CTC) upcoming production of “Coraline” marks the start of a partnership with the UNC Charlotte Department of Theatre that presents new opportunities for students, both on the stage and behind the scenes.

"Priests of the Temple 2015" opens in Rowe Galleries on Monday, Oct. 5, with a lecture by the artists at 4 p.m., followed by a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition continues through Friday, Oct. 30.
The UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens will hold its annual Fall Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Oct. 16-17, at the McMillan Greenhouse.
A wide selection of shrubs, perennials, wildflowers, ferns, cool weather annuals and native plants will be on sale. Proceeds support operations of the greenhouse and the gardens.

UNC Charlotte leaders, alumni and friends of the University gathered beneath the newly constructed Hauser Alumni Pavilion for a formal ceremony to dedicate the facility prior to the Charlotte 49ers football game against the Florida Atlantic Owls Sept. 26.

Driving the No. 20 UNC Charlotte Toyota Camry, 19-year-old student Matt Tifft raced to a top 10 finish in the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 at Kentucky Speedway Saturday, Sept. 26. The car was decked out in UNC Charlotte colors and logos, and the driver and crew wore UNC Charlotte-branded suits, too.
UNC Charlotte and Gaston County are working together on an effort to protect and monitor a key portion of the county’s water supply. Funded by a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the “Healthy Wells” program will establish a public digital database of the county’s wells and promote the protection of private well water supplies.
