Redesigned UNC Charlotte home page coming

The University’s website is getting a new look. A redesigned uncc.edu home page is slated to go live by the end of February.

The Office of University Communications, working with VisionPoint Marketing, collaborated across campus with website managers, college and division communicators and ITS to create a highly visual concept that provides a major update to the main pages on the University website. Included in the redesign are the University home page along with a full series of landing pages.

“The University’s current site has served us well, and we are excited now to move to a look and feel that celebrates the best features of UNC Charlotte — our diverse students, faculty and staff and this beautiful campus,” said University Communications Executive Director Stephen Ward, referring to the new site’s reliance on large images and embedded HTML video.

He said that the design includes wide or “coast-to-coast” images, new graphics and added sections that feature profiles of students, faculty members, research and community engagement, to name a few.

“Any change means adjustment, but we think the University community will embrace the new site and share in the excitement of this new look,” Ward added.
