The Charlotte Research Scholars (CRS) program is accepting applications for summer 2015. A summer research program for high-achieving students, the CRS provides research experience and professional development for students in their field of interest.
The program will provide funding to more than 50 UNC Charlotte rising seniors to participate in the nine-week program. Scholars receive one-on-one, faculty-guided research training, and they participate in weekly professional development sessions to better prepare them for graduate school and a future research career. The program culminates in the Summer Research Symposium, which will be held Thursday, July 23, in the Student Union.
CRS is open to rising seniors from all academic disciplines. The application deadline is Sunday, Feb. 22; the program runs from May 26 to July 25.
To be eligible, students must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 and a demonstrated desire to do independent research. Scholars will receive a $4,000 fellowship for participation in the program.
