Dec. 9 meeting to outline plans for North Tryon Street development

Charlotte Area Transit Systems (CATS) and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Planning Department will host a community meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the Oasis Shriners Center, 604 Doug Mayes Place, off of J.W. Clay Boulevard.

Charlotte city staff members will present their latest recommendations for the University City Area Plan Update and seek feedback and comments from meeting attendees. This update will include plans for the University City Boulevard, McCullough and JW Clay Boulevard/UNC Charlotte light-rail stations and nearby areas along North Tryon Street. The meeting will focus on updated land use, design, mobility and open-space policies within the University City Area Plan boundaries.
