The UNC Charlotte Department of Dance will feature student ensembles in an exciting program of diverse dance styles for its Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20, through Saturday, Nov. 22, in the Robinson Hall for the Performing Arts, Belk Theater. A 2 p.m. matinee will be on Sunday, Nov. 23.
Beginning with a famous 19th-century ballet divertissement and ending with an African-based work, the program also includes contemporary choreography by UNC Charlotte professors E.E. Balcos and Delia Neil, set to music by the Beatles, Bach and Yo-Yo Ma, as well as Martha Graham’ s dramatic 1936 piece "Steps in the Street."
Tickets are $14 for general admission, $9 for seniors and UNC Charlotte faculty and staff, and $6 for all students and can be purchased at the Robinson Hall Box Office, in person or by calling 704-687-1849, or online.
