Niners Celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving in Canada is celebrated the first Monday in October. It just so happened that Thanksgiving coincided with Niner Niner Nation Week and the faculty and staff social at the Wine Vault.

- Reminder: The Benefits Office will host a virtual open enrollment information session at 9 a.m., Friday, Oct. 13.
- Review the football parking and transportation information for Saturday’s Homecoming game.
- Ginger offers resources for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
- UNC Charlotte wins the Heterodox Academy 2023 Open Inquiry Award for Institutional Excellence.
- Sign up for the first virtual fall Schul Conversation at noon, Thursday, Oct. 26; a panel of experts will discuss what builds community in mixed-income housing and place-based initiatives.

- Today is the last day to vote for the Golden Niner! Voting closes at 5 p.m., and the winner will be announced during halftime of the Homecoming game when the Charlotte 49ers face Navy Saturday, Oct. 14.
- Review the football parking and transportation information for Saturday’s Homecoming game.
- Facing a North Carolina underage alcohol citation? Join UNC Charlotte Student Legal Services Inc. from 3 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18, in the Popp Martin Student Union, Room 261, to learn more about potential legal outcomes and options before your court date.
- All students received an emailed survey about the Niner Course Pack last week. Please complete the survey by Wednesday, Oct. 18, to be entered in a drawing to win Niner-branded merchandise.
- Join the Department of Public Health Sciences for an LGBTQ+ Arts and Crafts Social from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., today. Hang out with your peers, make some art and meet some new friends.
- Reminder: Friday, Oct. 13, is the last day to register to vote in this year’s local elections.
