- “Run the Ball” is a week-long challenge involving students who will run a football approximately 250 miles from Charlotte to Greenville to kick off the Saturday, Oct. 21, inaugural matchup between the 49ers and ECU Pirates. This event is designed to raise awareness and funds to support students facing mental health struggles.

Six members of UNC Charlotte’s faculty and staff are among Who’s Who in Black Charlotte. An entity of Real Times Media, Who’s Who in Black Charlotte documents the positive achievements of Black Charlotteans who are making outstanding contributions to the communities and organizations they serve.
