Former Rep. Rob Bryan recently was named the UNC Board of Governors liaison to UNC Charlotte. Bryan was elected to the UNC Board of Governors by the North Carolina House of Representatives for a four-year term that began July 1, 2017. A Board of Governor member is assigned to each of the 17 campuses of the UNC system to assist in Board of Trustee appointment selections, focus on the campus priorities and activities; and work with the chancellors, trustees and administration.
 

 

A former North Carolina House of Representatives member, Bryan served as co-chair of the Appropriations on Education Committee. He was a leader on educational issues during his time in the North Carolina General Assembly and was a champion for UNC Charlotte and higher education.

Bryan is currently senior vice president, corporate strategies and real estate, at Cardinal Innovations Healthcare Solutions in Charlotte. Prior to Cardinal, he practiced law for 18 years earning his J.D. from Duke University Law School and his undergraduate degree from UNC Chapel Hill. He also is a Teach for America alumnus.

Bryan will visit with Chancellor Dubois and tour UNC Charlotte in mid-September, and will serve as the University's campus liaison. He resides in Charlotte with his wife, Dottie, and their six children.
