3. Street Smarts:

It’s street art with a lesson. School of Architecture urban design students helped create a 1,000-foot ecologically themed mural inspired by drawings of students from Charlotte Lab School and First Ward Elementary – while teaching pedestrian safety. 4. Founded in Charlotte:

OrthoCarolina's Blair Primis hosts the 49er Alumni Forum with four impressive Alumniner entrepreneurs on Wednesday, May 17, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Byron's South End. Have a drink and hear from the owners of 704 Shop, Hip Hop Orchestrated, Pure Barre and Atom Power.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. School House Rock

The Charlotte Engineering Early College, a partnership between Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and UNC Charlotte, brought home a notable distinction when Deanna Cureton was named as CMS Teacher of the Year.
