Levine Hall
UNC Charlotte broke ground last May on this residence hall that will house students enrolled in the Levine Scholars Program and the Honors College. The new facility, known as Levine Hall, was named in honor of Sandra and Leon Levine. Through their foundation, the Levines have committed more than $18 million to the Levine Scholars Program, which began in 2009.
Located near the campus main entrance on University City Boulevard, the five-story Levine Hall will be about 160,000 square feet. It will house offices for the University's Honors and Levine Scholars programs and accommodate 435 residents.
Estimated Completion: November 2016
LYNX Blue Line
Light rail Blue Line extension construction continues along North Tryon toward campus, while earthwork, bridge construction and station development continues on campus.
Challenging traffic conditions along North Tryon between Old Concord Road and Institute circle will continue. The North Tryon Street roadway has been pushed out between Old Concord Road and J.W. Clay Boulevard to accommodate the rail line in the center median.
Track and systems work will begin in May. Temporary lane closures should be expected daily between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Drivers and pedestrians should remain alert while driving and walking through this area.

Phillips Road Realignment
This project realigns a section of the existing Phillips Road (the part with the steep hill) to lead to a new four-way intersection at the current Cameron/Craver intersection.
The altered route will curve between Hayes Baseball Field and the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex. A bridge was constructed across Toby Creek and roadway paving and additional bridge work is ongoing.
Estimated Completion: March 2016
