The UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens is offering “Botanical Macro Photography with your Smartphone” from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept 9, at the McMillan Greenhouse.
Wendy Wilson, adult program coordinator for the Botanical Gardens, will lead this class; she will demonstrate how to capture a vast world hiding in plain sight.
Beginning in the greenhouse, participants will learn how to fit a macro lens on their smartphones (no adhesives, mounting strips or special equipment required). After practicing with the lenses, attendees will scavenge in the greenhouse to get close with beautiful and curious plants and flowers and discover the huge world of macro photography.
