The College of Arts + Architecture and College of Computing and Informatics join together to present the second annual “Statement Making” Digital Fabrication Fashion Show. This event will highlight student designs conceptualized around the theme “Digital Designs in the Modern World.”
With the help of funding from Charlotte Green Initiative, the production will demonstrate how to re-use electronic waste (e-waste), with the runway and backdrop constructed from recycled electronic components. In addition to displaying students’ fashion designs, “Statement Making” will inform attendees of the environmental impact of disposing e-waste incorrectly.
Scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 15, in the Storrs Salon, the fashion show is free and open to the public.
