Hip-hop artist J. Cole to perform in Halton Arena

Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling recording artist J. Cole will bring his “What Dreams May Come Tour” to Halton Arena on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Jermaine Lamarr Cole, best known by the stage name J. Cole, is a German-born American hip-hop recording artist and record producer from Fayetteville, N.C. The first artist to be signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation record label, J. Cole is known for his lyricism, self-produced sturdy beats and storytelling. The artist recently released his highly anticipated, self-produced sophomore album “Born Sinner.” Since its debut, it has hit No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and has been certified “Gold” in recognition of sales.

The 30-city "What Dreams May Come Tour,” presented by AEG LIVE, starts Sept. 10 in Miami and concludes Oct. 30 in Seattle. Tickets for the Sept. 17 show in Halton Arena start at $39.50 and will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 2, at the Halton Arena Box Office, online at tickereturn.com or by phone at 704-687-4949.

Joining J.Cole on tour is Grammy-nominated and award-winning artist Wale, who is touring in support of his latest release “The Gifted.” The album sold more than 158,000 units in its first week, and it is Wale’s third solo record. Wale’s certified Gold sophomore album “Ambition” also topped the charts as the No. 1 rap album and produced the Grammy-nominated, Gold single “Lotus Flower Bomb” featuring Miguel.

J. Cole’s Dreamville Foundation (a registered 501c3 organization) is the charitable partner for  the “What Dreams May Come Tour.”  A portion from every concert ticket sold will go to the foundation. Its mission is to “reveal to youth their limitless potential through life-altering experiences.
