The North Carolina Council of IEEE and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering are sponsoring the one-day event “RoboResearch” on Friday, March 6, on the Charlotte Research Institute campus.
This seminar will bring together leading experts in government, research and industry to advance the development of robotics in the state.
“North Carolina has great potential to be a center for robotics development. We hope to encourage all involved to work together to achieve that goal,” according to seminar chair Grayson Randall, CTO of Ascot Technologies Inc.
UNC Charlotte’s James Conrad, professor of electrical and computer engineering, noted robotics researchers and designers from industries throughout North Carolina have been invited to the March 6 seminar. He will be among the University speakers at the event, along with Jing Xiao from the Computer Science Department and Paul Wetenhall, president of Ventureprise Inc.; Robert Wilhelm, vice chancellor for research and economic development will give opening remarks.
