Inaugural recipients named for the Alumni Association Scholarship for Social Justice
Two UNC Charlotte students, Abena Atiemo and Melinda Erickson, have been named the first recipients of the UNC Charlotte Alumni Association Scholarship for Social Justice. They will use their passions for architecture and dance to advocate for diversity and inclusivity.

- UNC Charlotte joins White House COVID-19 College Vaccine Challenge: Furthering its commitment to ensuring students, faculty and staff have information and access to the COVID-19 vaccine, UNC Charlotte is participating in the White House and Department of Education’s COVID-19 College Vaccine Challenge.
- Upload your vaccination record for a chance to win $500: Those who submit the COVID-19 vaccine reporting form with documentation of their vaccination by June 15, 2021, will be entered to win one of several prizes, including your choice of a free parking permit for the upcoming academic year or $500 on your 49er ID card.

OUR POINTS OF PRIDE
- UNC Charlotte student selected as national award winner: Loren Caldwell was selected as the recipient of the national Phi Beta Delta Honor Society’s Marian Beane/Charles Gliozzo Domestic Student Award for International Achievement. The award honors significant international experience and scholarship and is named in recognition of a former UNC Charlotte and Office of International Programs staff member.
