- Dick Beekman and Gabi Hitchcock will be sworn in as student body president and vice president, respectively, following today's Student Government Association Senate meeting. The online meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. and is open to the public.

Dance professor is an Emerging Creators Fellowship recipient: Tamara Williams has received an Arts & Council grant to continue research into ring shout, a traditional dance and music form that originated among enslaved Black Americans.

- 4/22: Join Karen Cox in a conversation on her book, “No Common Ground: Confederate Monuments and the Ongoing Fight for Racial Justice.” Facilitators for this event, held in partnership with UNC Press, include Willie J. Griffin, staff historian at the Levine Museum of the New South, and Emily Gunzburger Makas, UNC Charlotte associate professor of Architectural and Urban History.
