Plenty of big ideas are still on the table for Charlotte's future
For people hoping to see Charlotte make big moves toward greater density, multimodal transit and a new, more urban vision of the city, it’s been a dispiriting few months, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still a lot of big ideas swirling around, according to Ely Portillo, the Urban Institute's assistant director of outreach and strategic partnerships

- The Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) is partnering with Project Downtown CLT to facilitate a campus-wide toilet paper drive that will benefit former “Tent City” residents and the Jamil Niner Student Pantry. Drop off donations at the Student Health Center front desk or at the Popp Martin Student Union until April 15.
- Effective April 5, the cashier's window in the Reese Building returned to pre-COVID operational hours. For more information, visit the Financial Services website.

UNC Charlotte ranks second in the UNC System for institutions hosting the largest number of international students: The Open Doors data confirmed that UNC Charlotte hosted 2,980 students and scholars in the 2019-20 reporting period.
