From organizing the first Homecoming parade to awarding scholarships to Niner students, the UNC Charlotte Black Alumni Chapter has made a significant impact on the University.
BREAKING NEWS
- The University’s wastewater testing has detected the presence of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, in its routine sampling in one residence hall.
- Effective at 5 p.m. today, the state will ease some COVID-19 restrictions, including the Modified Stay-at-Home Order, mass gathering limits and capacity limits for certain businesses and facilities. Mecklenburg County Public Health’s COVID-19 directive will also expire. These changes will cause a few changes on campus.

Ken Lambla named to AIA College of Fellows: Ken Lambla, professor of architecture and founding dean of the College of Arts + Architecture, has been named to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects.

UNC Charlotte alumnus and Cabarrus schools superintendent Chris Lowder '91, '98 MSAD, MA, '12 Ed.D. announced his retirement.
UNC Charlotte alumna Terry Worrell '85 MDHL has been named interim superintendent of the Rockingham school district.
