New grant to support military veterans’ graduate studies

UNC Charlotte has received a $750,000 grant to help attract and support military veterans in earning graduate degrees in STEM disciplines, with particular emphasis on advanced degrees in mechanical engineering.

Enrollment Management sponsoring Community Service Day

Enrollment Management is hosting a “Service to Our Community Day” on Tuesday, Dec. 11. Employees can participate in an arts and crafts event between 8 and 11 a.m. or 1 to 5 p.m. in the Cone University Center, Room 210. Volunteers will make all-occasion cards, bracelets, necklaces and signs or paint small items for Meals on Wheels, Shoebox Ministry and Joyful Hearts.

Seth Flynn, the creator, is a senior who is minoring in gerontology; he submitted it as part of a contest hosted by the Gerontology Program.
