UNC Charlotte marks Cyber Security Awareness Month

Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx has proclaimed October “UNC Charlotte Cyber Security Awareness Month.”  This declaration comes as UNC Charlotte’s College of Computing and Informatics hosts its 13th Annual Cyber Security Symposium on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Speakers, bell ringers needed for December commencement

Commencement speakers and bell ringers are needed for UNC Charlotte’s winter commencement, which is Saturday, Dec. 15, in Halton Arena, located in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center. Faculty and staff are requested to encourage students graduating in December to apply for one of these positions. One speaker and bell ringer will be selected for each ceremony.


Ghost film series scheduled for ImaginOn, UNC Charlotte Center City

The College of Arts + Architecture and Charlotte Mecklenburg Library will partner to present “Spirits Rise: A Ghost Film Series.” It is inspired by two books by Department of Theatre professor Mark Pizzato “Ghosts of Theatre and Cinema in the Brain” and “Inner Theatres of Good and Evil: The Mind’s Staging of Gods, Angels and Devils.”


Exhibitions to feature guest artists Meanley, Kerrane
