Yousra Javed, a doctoral candidate in the College of Computing and Informatics Department of Software and Information Systems, is the first UNC Charlotte student to receive the Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) International Peace Scholarship. This prestigious award is for up to $10,000, and it is renewable.
May is Internal Audit Awareness Month, a time that internal auditors around the world dedicate efforts to elevate the image of their profession.

On May 3, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will present “From the Back of the Line,” a documentary about the lives of seven undocumented immigrants living and working in Charlotte.

Alumni of the University Honors Program in the Honors College have established the Al Maisto Endowed Scholarship to recognize the longtime professor of psychology who also served as the associate dean of the Honors College and director of the University Honors Program.
Maisto’s work with honors students is legendary at the University, spanning more than two decades.
