Tuesday, October 27, 2020

Ventureprise Launch NSF I-Corps is for UNC Charlotte faculty, students and staff to explore the commercial possibilities of their ideas and research.

Applicants can receive up to $5,000 for research or business ideas as part of the fall 2020 Ventureprise Launch National Science Foundation I-Corps virtual cohort. The program provides University faculty, staff and students with commercialization training and new NSF funding.

This program is designed for individuals to work at their own pace with interview and funding goals.

A kickoff workshop will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Nov. 3, with a second workshop from 5 to 7 p.m., Nov. 17. Final presentations will be delivered 5 to 7 p.m., Dec. 10.

The goal of the Ventureprise Launch National Science Foundation I-Corps virtual cohort program is to identify potential commercial uses for technology and research. The next stage is a six-month $50,000 NSF I-Corps Teams grant.

A complete schedule and application form can be found on the NSF I-Corps webpage. Contact Devin Collins (devin.collins@uncc.edu) or Laura Smailes (lsmailes@uncc.edu).
