The University Career Center (UCC) will host the Virtual Web Jamboree 2020 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10, as part of Gold Rush.
This free event kicks off the new academic year, and the UCC is partnering with the University Center for Academic Excellence; Office of Education Abroad; Student Involvement; Office of Identity, Equity and Engagement; and Office of Undergraduate Research.
All students will be able to join this virtual event and must register for access to participate in the many booths at the event and for a chance to win a $50 gift card at each booth attended. More than $1,000 in gift card giveaways will be presented.
Booths will have representatives from the Career Center and partnering departments on hand to talk with students about services, job and internship searches, exploring majors, resume content, and how to get involved on campus to start building their brand. Fun and connection will be emphasized through WebJam 2020. Within each booth, there will be games and activities, a Virtual Escape Room, social media competitions, and students can connect with campus partners informally.
