Honors College event aims to destigmatize failure

The Honors College is hosting its inaugural “Failure Showcase” from 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 4, in the Cone University Center, McKnight Hall.

This event is designed to destigmatize failure and empower students to grow. According to organizers, discussing failure in an open and acceptable manner demonstrates to students that failure is a necessary part of success.

Speakers, including Chancellor Philip L. Dubois and Provost Joan Lorden, will share their personal stories of failure as well as how they pivoted to success. A question-and-answer session will follow speakers’ remarks.
