Apply for Ventureprise’s 49er iChallenge Idea Pitch 2019
Tuesday, November 12, 2019

Ventureprise’s 49er iChallenge Idea Pitch is an opportunity for all UNC Charlotte students to showcase their business or research ideas and receive the tools and resources to work on their entrepreneurial venture.

Each student or team will have two minutes to pitch, which should include the problem identified, who is affected by the problem and the proposed solution.

“We want to give students a platform to share their ideas on solving problems they see happening around them. At Ventureprise, we are able to provide students with resources to start a program or business venture,” said Laura Smailes, assistant director, Ventureprise.

Three previous Idea Pitch participants were named Charlotte Inno’s Inaugural Under 25–Fidel Henriquez, Treven Stoddard and Tristin Fields.

Fields’ innovative idea for a sneaker culture platform placed him in the top three in the business category; watch him pitch here.

The top three finalists selected at Idea Pitch 2019 will receive cash prizes, $500 for first place, $300 for second and $200 for third. Other prizes will include tickets to an entrepreneurial conference being held in January.

The deadline to apply for 49er iChallenge Idea Pitch is 11:59 p.m., Friday, Nov. 15.

Ventureprise will hold office hours 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, Nov.15, and Monday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nov.18, in PORTAL. Sign up for office hours.
