Kaja Dunn, assistant professor of acting in the College of Arts + Architecture, is directing the Cape Fear Regional Theatre production of “No Child,” a play by Nilaja Sun. The Fayetteville, North Carolina, production, which features a set by Tom Burch, assistant professor of scenic design, runs through Sunday, Nov. 17.

“No Child” originated as a one-woman show based on Sun's experience as a teaching artist in New York City. For the Cape Fear Regional Theatre production, the performances will feature five actors playing 16 characters who range from a high school principal to a motley crew of students to the autobiographical Sun, who has come to Malcolm X High School to lead the students in a theatre production.

Cape Fear Regional Theatre presents six productions each season, contracting actors, writers and designers from throughout the country.
