As director of University Recreation, Jim Walczyk is responsible for all aspects of UNC Charlotte’s recreational programs and facilities. He has worked at the University for more than six years and has donated to Giving Green each year.
“I believe it's important to support the Giving Green campaign for different reasons,” Walczyk said. “It provides an opportunity for me to support causes I believe in, and I believe it's important to give back, not only to help others or causes that need support, but also to reinvest in UNC Charlotte. In my small way, I want to ensure the University continues to be successful and have a prominent role in Charlotte, the county, the region and nationally.”
The 2019 Giving Green campaign to benefit the UNC Charlotte Foundation and Arts & Science Council concludes Friday, Oct. 18. During the campaign, Inside UNC Charlotte is featuring faculty and staff members who participate in Giving Green to talk about the importance of philanthropy. Employees can stretch their contributions throughout the upcoming calendar year with payroll deduction.
