Tuesday, June 18, 2019

Earlier this year, Steven Rogelberg discussed being a good steward of time as a meeting leader for the first-ever TEDxUNCCharlotte event. Now, his campus talk is being featured on the TED website.

The TEDx media team selected Rogelberg’s presentation for its “How to Be a Better Human” series.  Rogelberg, a Chancellor’s Professor, is a pioneering organizational science researcher and renowned international authority on meetings. His most recent book, “The Surprising Science of Meetings: How You Can Lead Your Team to Peak Performance” was recognized by the Washington Post as the “No. 1 leadership book to watch for in 2019” and by the Business Insider as one of the “Top 14 business books everyone will be reading in 2019.”

In April, he received the First Citizens Bank Scholars Medal in recognition of his profound research contributions to organizational science.

A professor of management and psychology, Rogelberg is the 2017 recipient of the Humboldt Research Award. Named for the late Prussian naturalist and explorer Alexander von Humboldt, the award is considered one of the most esteemed honors presented to a scientist.
