Wednesday, December 5, 2018

Register to attend “A Green and Healthy New Year: Makers Workshop for Mind, Body and Soul” scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 5, at the McMillan Greenhouse.

The UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens is sponsoring this event in which attendees can learn to use plants and botanical preparations to promote healthy minds, bodies, souls and homes.

Registrants can choose from a full-day workshop or pick a half day–morning or afternoon. Classes include creating an indoor meditation garden, growing microgreens, making herbal teas and honeys, creating SoulCollage cards, blending a signature scent with essential oils, DIY natural home cleaning products and more. Each option includes a dessert lecture (sweet treats provided) presented by Paula Gross; she will discuss some special herbs, their botanical history, significance and uses for self and home.

The cost for the full-day workshop is $125; half-day workshops are $75 (gift certificate available). Click here to see the full schedule.
